Abrasion Resistant Lagging

The primary function of pulley lagging is to provide traction to the conveyor belt, pulley lagging is also the sacrificial wear component on conveyor pulleys.  Excessive wear can lead to lost production due to the maintenance involved in changing out a pulley.  PPI’s proprietary rubber compound used in AR lagging has been proven in a controlled abrasion test to demonstrate roughly twice the resistance to mass loss as standard SBR.  This improved abrasion resistance leads to extended replacement intervals, resulting in a lower cost of production.
