Precision Pulley & Idler Names Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Employee-owned manufacturer aligns senior leadership with long-term strategic plan
PELLA, Iowa (October 2nd. 2026) Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI), a 100% employee-owned manufacturer of conveyor pulleys, idlers, and material handling components, today announced an executive leadership structure that takes effect October 1, 2026. The structure aligns senior leadership with the company’s strategic plan and positions PPI to serve growing demand across its Bulk, Unit Handling, and LATAM business segments.
“Our markets are expanding and our customers are asking more of us every year,” said Matt Buckingham, President and Chief Executive Officer. “This structure gives us the leadership depth to meet that demand and to keep investing in the capabilities that will define the next decade of this company. We are building for where PPI is going, not simply managing where it is today.”
The structure takes effect as PPI enters 2027, marking 50 years in business. The company has built its reputation on engineering precision and reliability in the field, and enters this next chapter in a period of active growth and expansion.
Charlie Daugherty has been named Chief Operating Officer. Daugherty has served as Chief Financial Officer and brings deep knowledge of PPI’s operations, cost structure, and manufacturing footprint to the role. As COO, he will lead the company’s global operations, engineering, and supply chain functions with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.
“I’m excited to move from supporting our operations to leading them directly, and I’m looking forward to spending more time with our people and out on our plant floors,” said Daugherty. “My focus is straightforward: safety, quality, and delivering for our customers every day, while building on the ownership culture that has always set this company apart.”
Rob Bradley joins PPI as Chief Financial Officer. Bradley brings more than 30 years of finance leadership, including 28 years at Pella Corporation, where he held roles across corporate accounting, treasury, division control, and financial planning and analysis for operations, supply chain, and commercial teams. He most recently served as Vice President of Finance at 2nd Adventure Group in Grinnell, Iowa. Bradley began his career in public accounting at KPMG following four years of service in the U.S. Air Force, and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. He will lead the company’s finance, information technology, and human resources functions.
As a 100% employee-owned company, PPI’s leadership decisions are made with the long-term interests of its employee-owners in mind. Every employee has a direct stake in the company’s performance, and the structure announced today is designed to sustain the growth that builds that value.
