Manage the quality operations and teams at all PPI USA locations (Pella, Lenox, Corning, Maysville and Service Centers). Support PFI and International locations as needed. Analyze, design, develop, document and implement processes that contribute to a quality management plan that delivers conforming products and services to the customer through efficient and effective processes.
Develop and lead the corporate quality strategies supporting the strategic vision. Develop and implement company QMS policy, procedures, instructions and records.
Lead assigned quality teams, NDT team activities, and the weld process team.
Work with the Manufacturing Engineering Managers to make sure that all of the manufacturing facilities are receiving the needed quality assurance support.
Support research and development application of new processes and technology through all phases of validation, implementation, and standardization.
Develop and coordinate special inspection plans and process qualifications per customer requirements.
Document processes and procedures to maintain raw material standards with procurement team and suppliers.
Define and maintain shop floor employee training program for quality processes and key certifications.
Develop, implement, and manage product and process control plans with the production management team and conduct necessary statistical studies and process reviews.
Develop and design measurement systems as required. Oversee the tracking and calibration of measurement tools.
Review and monitor complaints of internal and external customers. Complete SARs report and develop action plans accordingly. Assure proper review and processing of returned product (RGA). Prepare customer complaint resolution reports as necessary.
Domestic and International travel to other locations, suppliers and customer facilities required.
Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
Provide support and extra assignments at other PPI and PFI locations as necessary.
Regular, consistent attendance.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Training, Certifications, Licenses
ASQ CQE, CSSBB, and CMQ/OE certifications desirable.
