Job Details

Supervise daily activities of maintenance personnel with a goal of minimizing downtime, maximizing uptime, and maintaining safety of the machinery at PPI.


Prioritize repairs and assign tasks to maintenance personnel.


Schedule preventative maintenance on machines.


Purchase parts and supplies as required.


Maintain an adequate repair parts inventory to reduce downtime.


Diagnose machine problems.


Evaluate machine condition and recommend repairs/replacement.


Supervise installation of new machinery.


Consult with other locations to help them troubleshoot machinery problems.


Must have knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, welding, cutting, pneumatic systems, painting, forklifts, and general machinery operation.


Use and understand various paperwork, including schedules, prints, & tech standards.


Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping.


Continually participate in additional training related to the job.


Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.


Regular, consistent attendance.


Education and/or Experience

Fifth year college or a university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
