Job Details

Responsible for leading the product industry from a long term vision and strategy. Provide guidance for product managers on current products as well as lead and implement new product plans.


Maintain current product line by leading product management group

Create specific product growth by collaborating with PM’s, Sales Force, and Marketing Manager

Recommend and manage new products from development through market release

Monitor industry products overall profitability and make price adjustments as needed or as market conditions warrant

Understand & provide pricing based on current competitive market conditions

Develop product specific sales strategies by collaborating with Corporate Sales and Division Sales Managers

Develop and coordinate marketing communication material, including but not limited to presentations, promotional flyers, novelties, advertisements, catalogs and website development

Understand customer base and their markets

Help resolve issues: product, delivery, pricing, conflicts, etc.

Provide training & support

Provide leadership and commercial input into remote inventories

Liaison between inside sales & IT to ensure electronic processing is functioning to meet customer requirements

Participate in Company Sales Meetings and Industry Trade Shows

Continually participate in additional training related to the job

Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.

Regular, consistent attendance.

Domestic travel up to 15%

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and/or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
