Responsible for reviewing, detailing and resolving problems with specifications and engineering requirements turned into technical drawings for communication with purchasing, manufacturing and customers primarily using AutoCAD.
Detail Engineered design of materials, geometry, fits, tolerances and instructions on drawings related to customer orders for action by production, purchasing and customer using CAD software.
Review Customer and Engineering specifications and determine course of action to resolve difficulties with details of component purchase or manufacture.
Create solid models for customers to use in their layouts.
Coordinate with other team members to design, layout, or detail components and systems.
Resolve design or production problems and correct operating deficiencies.
Coordinate with team to continuously identify and improve CAD system errors or problems and efficiencies.
Process Engineering Change Orders (ECO) utilizing document control systems.
Assist other departments with drafting needs
Possess working knowledge in AutoCAD, Solidworks, PDM , and Microsoft Office suite software programs.
May require domestic travel.
Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
Regular, consistent attendance.
Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Training, Certifications, Licenses
Formal training in AutoCad and Solidworks software programs. Microsoft Office product experience preferred.
